(Very) Quick Start Guide

+This information was current as of the 0.1.1 release on 3rd September.

Prerequisites
-Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 or Visual C# Express 2008
-Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.1
-Microsoft XNA Game Studio 3.1 Zune Extensions.
-Optional : Editor
-XnaViewer (Included)

First steps

  1. Create a new Zune Project.
  2. In the solution explorer, right click references, then click Add.
  3. Choose browse and look for the unrared folder containing ZHDE.
  4. Choose the file "Zune.HD.Game.Engine.dll" in Zune/Release
  5. Open your Game1.cs file.
  6. At the very top of the text, add the line
using Zune.HD.Game.Engine;
  1. Scroll down and look for the LoadContent method.
  2. Under the line containing spriteBatch, add the following.
Engine.Initialize(this);
  1. Scoot down to the update method, and add, ontop of base.Update, the following
Engine.Update(gameTime);
  1. Now down to the Draw method.
  2. On top of base.Draw, add the following
Engine.Draw(gameTime);
Your all set!
  1. Press F5 to run the game, and follow the instructions to run the game on your Zune.
